Postgraduate Clubs and Societies Sponsorships

UQU APS will award, through the 2019 Academic year, a series of sponsorships to postgraduate clubs and societies. Qualifying clubs or societies need to be run by postgraduate students or have more than 60% postgraduate student membership.

The amount of sponsorship will not exceed $500. 

Each club/society can apply for only one sponsorship each semester. You can submit your application up to two weeks prior to the event date.

Selection Criteria

-    Event criteria:
        •    the event must cater for a minimum of 50 students;
        •    the event should involve collaboration with other postgraduate clubs or societies;
        •    the event should be inclusive of all the postgraduate community at UQ rather than just a selected student group.

-    Sponsorship details:
        •    a maximum of $500 can be awarded;
        •    clubs or societies can apply once each semester;
        •    the amount of the sponsorship will be determined at the discretion of the UQU APS committee. 

-    Sponsorship conditions:
        •    UQU APS logo must be included in all promotional material
        •    Promoting future APS events on social platforms
        •    Display the APS banner or poster at the sponsored event
        •    If relevant, provide a stall for APS commercial material
        •    if $500 are awarded: 
                                                      - provide tickets for two UQU APS represenatatives for the sponsored event
                                                      - having a member of UQU APS to hand awards or give a brief speech

Winners of $500 sponsorship from the 2018 Postgraduate Award Night:

- Postgraduate club of the year: AIBN

- Student event of the year: UQ HMNS Postgraduate Conference
