UQU APS Individual Bursaries

Please, read through the eligibility and selection criteria and prepare the required documentation to be uploaded if necessary

   - ELIGIBILITY  and SELECTION CRITERIA

Sixteen UQU APS bursaries will be awarded in the second semester of 2019, valued at $250 each.

​

a) Eligible applicants must be a currently enrolled postgraduate student at UQ (full-time or part-time) partaking in a Masters by Coursework, MPhil or PhD degree.

b) Both domestic and international students may apply

All applicants:

Must submit all relevant supporting documents with their initial application; applications cannot be amended after submission

May be requested to submit additional data or references at the discretion of the selection panel


c) Bursary provisions and evidence required:

- To purchase a book/software application/item:  evidence to support the necessity of this item for study purposes
- To register for an additional course (that will not count towards the achievement of your degree at UQ) or study aid (direct attendance or online course) -  proof of enrolment and evidence of course costs
- To participate in a domestic or international conference - evidence of conference costs and proof of participation
- To fund part of research work - evidence to support the necessity of funding and what aspect of work the funding will cover
- To enrol in an upcoming winter or summer course that will not count towards the achievement of your degree at UQ - proof of enrolment is needed
- To alleviate severe financial hardship - must provide proof of financial hardship
- To participate in an unpaid internship or vacation programme -  evidence of employment

Before you start your application, make sure to have all of the required documentation ready to be uploaded. A maximum of 3 files can be uploaded.
You can also choose to add one personal or professional reference. Please, have the referee approval before filling up the form.
If you chose to have a reference, be ready to enter the following information: Full Name, Relationship with the Applicant, Email, Phone Number.
 
 
Once the application has been submitted, no more modification can be made or are allowed

A selection panel, composed of current UQ students and staff, will meet and discuss the received applications.

Following are the members of the selection panel. In the case that a panel member knows one of the bursary applicants, he/she will be excluded from the final decision to avoid conflict of interest
